Terms & Conditions for Package Bookings


All bookings should be made through Siliguri, Dist. Darjeeling, India office only & Packages are subject to availability and prior reservations. It is mandatory for the passengers to produce the booking voucher with proper company’s seal, issued by the Travel Agent while check-in as a proof. All extras are to be settled directly by the Guest with the Hotels, at the time of check-out. In event of any force majors circumstances, we reserve the absolute right to withdraw and or alter the terms & conditions of this program schedules. Booking for an additional person/child can only be made if 02 adults are already booked. Maximum of 03 adults sharing in a room. Children below 05 years, who do not, required extra beds, are free in your package accommodations. Maximum one extra bed per room in your package accommodations. All confirmed bookings along with 75% of package price should be sent to us. The balance payment should be remitted 4 weeks prior to the commencement of the trip. Any bookings made less than four weeks before the date of departure, the entire charge is payable at the time of bookings. The company reserves the right to treat any failure to follow the above, as cancellation of the booking.

While we are sending status of bookings, we sent time limit for deposit to suppliers, failing time limit may cause of cancellation of our confirmed bookings by our suppliers. In that condition we will not be responsible and we will not honors our previous quotation. To reinstate, the same booking may be cost will be changed; it will depend totally depending by our suppliers (Hotels, transport, airlines, railways, etc.). This should be followed strictly

Bank draft (banker’s check) favoring THE HINDUSTAN TRAVEL, payable in Siliguri. Kindly send the bank draft by either registered mail, federal express/courier only as ordinary mail can get lost in transit. If the payment is being send by the Bank Transfer then the Local Bank charge and bank charges for Indian Bank, have to be added in addition to the actual Invoice amount. If deposit the amounts by CASH in bank, kindly have the amounts (package amount + bank charge of Rs. 5/- per thousand) deposited into the above mention account.


Cancellation after confirmation of booking 60% will be charged on the total package cost. 70% will be deducted on total package amount if the road is blocked & the tourist have to return due to natural calamities and if transit not possible. In case of natural calamities, strike etc. in the last moment (before the tour begins) which are beyond the control of tour operator, tourist will pay 80% on the total package cost to cover loss of non-refundable advance payments made to Hoteliers, Land Operators Authorities, Commutations Expenses & Administrative Cost. In case of detention beyond the control of tour operators, all the expense has to be borne by the tourists.


No refund or exchange can be made in respect of accommodation, meals, sightseeing tours, transport, admission fees, special shows and /or other services which are included in the tour fare but are not utilized by the client. Due to bad weather or any other reason beyond our control, if any additional services are needed by the clients, passenger will be responsible for his/her own hotels/lodge/meals/ flight tickets/ train tickets/ transport and any other expenses. Neither The Hindustan Travel nor the participating suppliers/hotels will be responsible for additional expenses. Under no circumstances we should be held responsible for weather condition, delay of flight, train or road transport. Once tour is start there will be no refund for any unutilized services. During tour, if there is a meal in city restaurant, it will be provided at city restaurant only on fixed menu basis or as agreed, it cannot be changed for any hotel or any a-l-cart basis. It can be changed on direct payment basis by the guests but there will be no any refund in any circumstances.


The Hindustan Travel, or It’s Associates, put every effort to make your journey smooth and pleasant as much as possible. However, we act as intermediary between the concerned airlines, hotels, transport operators and local tourist offices providing the services. The Hindustan Travel is therefore not responsible for any loss, injury or damage sustained by the tourists including those occurring outside the touring programs. Additional expenses incurred due to delay, accident, natural disaster, political action and unrest must be borne by the tourists. Program, prices, services and conditions are based on those valid at the time of printing are therefore subject to change without advance notice in the event of circumstances beyond our control.


All the packages are sold under the business management of The Hindustan Travel and they are in no way to be considered as the principal or operator of the subject services. The right is reserved to cancel or alter any package as condition require. Neither The Hindustan Travel nor the participating suppliers/hotels will be responsible for the additional expenses due to loss, delay or damage caused by accidents to or failure of machinery or equipment or industrial action, illness, bad weather, strikes/ riots, war, civil disturbances, fire, floods, road block, acts of gods, acts of government or of any authorities etc. Under no circumstances we should be held responsible for such unforeseen condition.


Please note, in India, at all local restaurant and in the Hotels, Beverages (Hard and Soft drinks) brought from outside is not allowed to be used. Also please note our cost does not include any type of Drinks (Hard or soft) while having meals at The Local Restaurants or in the Hotels.


Once the tickets are issued, cancellations guidelines will be followed as per airlines policy
