THT/ADV: 10 – Green lake Trek
Day 1: Reception at Siliguri and Proceed to Gangtok by car (125Kms). Transfer to hotel. Free Evening and overnight at Gangtok.
Day 2: Drive to Lachen (120Kms). A small scenic settlement at an altitude of 9000ft, Lachen is a traditional Lepcha village and the gateway to the higher altitude of Northern Sikkim. The trek to Green Lake starts from here. Overnight at Lachen.
Day 3: Trek to Talem (12Kms), at an elevation of 10500ft. The trek passes through the dense coniferous forests of Kunchenjangha National Park. Approx time: 5hrs. Overnight in tents.
Day 4: Trek from Talem to Jakthang (8Kms). Elevation 10700ft. This is a leisure trek, as it does not require any steep climbing. Approx time: 4hrs. Overnight at Jukthang.
Day 5: Trek from Jukthang to Yabuk (10Kms). Elevation 13200ft. Approx time: 5hrs. Overnight in tent.
Day 6: Trek from Yabuk to Rest Camp (7Kms). Elevation 14400ft. Approx time: 3hrs. Acclimatisation and overnight at Rest Camp:
Day 7: Trek from Rest Camp to Green Lake (4Kms). Elevation 15400ft. Approx time: 3hrs. Overnight at Green Lake.
Day 8: Return trek to Yabuk and halt.
Day 9: Yabuk to Jakthang
Day 10: Jakthang to Talem
Day 11: Talem to Lachen.
Day 12: Lachen to Gangtok. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13: Breakfast and farewell.

Safety and Insurance
Our programs leaders will be ensuring your safety and security. Extensive and painstaking preparations go into the planning of each trek route keeping safety in mind. Our experienced trek leaders have been constantly visiting the area to check all the details. Stringent safety standards are adhered to and only quality equipments are used. Travel insurance should be made by the participants themselves.
Trekking permit and entry formalities
Travelling to many parts of Eastern Himalaya requires protected area permit (PAP) and Inner Line Permit (ILP) and restricted area permit (RAP). The permits are applicable to foreign national and some cases to Indian national as well. You are requested to confirm with our travel executive about the permit related issue applicable to the area where you are travelling. In most cases our company makes necessary arrangement for permits which may require your photograph, ID proof, visa, passport photocopy etc. In case you need to arrange for the permits directly, we would still be providing you with necessary guidelines and assistance in this matter.
Equipment
All the trekking gears and adventure sports equipments are tested by experts before use.
Medical Facilities
First aid kit and basic medication is carried by program leaders during the trek. Those on special medication or with known drug allergies should bring their own necessary medicines.
